The Burj Dubai

Took this photo last January 2009, notice the construction works that goes on 24/7.

The Burj Dubai is now currently the tallest structure in the world with a height of 818 meters and having 162 floors (though it has yet to be completed by December 2009). It is so tall that the tip of the spire can be seen by a person from as far as 95 Km (60 miles) away.

The Burj Dubai was designed to be the centerpiece of a large-scale, mixed-use development that will include 30,000 homes, nine hotels such as the Armani Hotels and Burj Dubai Lake Hotel & Serviced Apartments, 3 hectares (7.4 acres) of parkland, at least 19 residential towers, the Dubai Mall (already open), and the 12-hectare (30-acre) man-made Burj Dubai Lake.

It was reported that the price of office space at Burj Dubai had reached $4,000 per sq ft (over $43,000 per sq m) and that the Armani Residences, also in Burj Dubai, were selling for US$3,500 per sq ft (over $37,500 per sq m).
