Burj Al Arab

One's visit to Dubai would never be complete without seeing its famous city icon - Burj Al Arab, the world's most luxurious and only 7-star hotel, this beautiful structure was designed to resemble a billowing sail and soars to a height of 321 meters, dominating the Dubai coastline. It stands as one of the most photographed structures in the world.

It will cost you around US$75 just to get through the gates and see the lobby, and their most expensive suite costs a whopping AED 60,000 per night (US$16,500)...arghh!

The hotel boasts of first-class and royalty-like amenities -- with your chauffeur driven Rolls Royce, discreet in-suite check in, private reception desk on every floor and a brigade of highly trained butlers who provide around-the-clock attention, highly personalized service throughout your stay is assured.

See other people's world, visit My World Tuesday then get a splash by visiting Watery Wednesday, and be in speechless awe as you see entries at Wordless Wednesday.

  3. What a fascinating building! Not sure how I'd feel about being on the bottom side of that curve though. The geometry just seems all wrong.

  5. I've seen the usual picture of this building, but really enjoyed seeing it from other viewpoints. I'm almost speechless over the cost to stay there! Wow! I'd love to see photos of the inside.
