To battle the heat, this ever innovative city provides solutions (though temporary) to those wanting to experience and enjoy snow or a sub-zero environment all year round. Check these out...
SKI DUBAI - A snow theme park located within Mall of the Emirates, it has a size of 22,500m² covered with real snow all year round – (equivalent to 3 football fields). You can ski, snowboard or just goof around at the snow park.
CHILL OUT CAFE - located at Times Square Mall, Dubai's first ever Ice Bar/Lounge. It's minus 6 degrees inside.
If you'd like to know more about just how "cool" this place is, check out the article I wrote in my other blog about mine and hubby's experience at Chill Out, click - Coolest Date Ever!See other people's world by visiting My World Tuesday.

The Chill Out Cafe was a good experience. I've never been inside the Ski Dubai though. Since I don't know how to ski, I thought AED 60 (which doesn't even include the gloves) is too much to spend just to stand in there. So I peek in from the huge glass panels instead :)
ReplyDeletePS: And yes, the dreaded summer is just around the corner *sigh*
Incredible. Very creative ways to cool off. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh this is awesome! I would love both of these places. And I'm really trying hard not to say "how cool is that?" because it would just be toooo corny. But that bar made entirely of ice? That's ... amazing! Do they have a coat check that works in reverse there? Seems like you'd need one!
ReplyDeleteThese are just brilliant, and the bar makes some incredible photos!
have read about this and enjoyed getting to see some additional photos of the place...dubai on my list to visit some time in the future.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool post! I may enjoy that cafe.

wow! that's really amazing! 50degrees can really fry any brain cells to fritters and it's a good thing that there are places like this to get cooled.
ReplyDeleteThat is really cool. It is great to provide a few places where one can catch cold if one would like to. This last summer our temps. exceeded 45C so I do understand that a change is like a holiday. Nice post.
